1979 International Scout 2 4x4 Truck
(Featured on 28th March 2013)
Make: International Harvester
Sellers original description:
Here we have the original sport utility vehicle, the second generation for that matter. This is a rare and extremely well documented Scout II. Only 4,924 original miles and a huge binder of records. Extremely well preserved and unbelievably clean, well sorted out would imply that there was sorting required, so let's just say this Scout was always kept in excellent shape.
This International 4x4 was ordered with the venerable International 304 V8 & 727 3-Speed Automatic transmission. It is finished in Persimmion orange paint, one of the several oranges offered by International throughout the 70s. It has a new skyjacker soft-ride 4" lift kit, which if you talk to any Scout experts, is the best riding lift on the market for these vehicles.
This is by far the cleanest Scout I have come across and I have sold over twenty within the last several years. The interior and exterior look arguably new, with only the most minute wear that any 34 year old vehicle would exhibit. Keep in mind this is not a Ferrari that was stored in a climate controlled bubble, but a well cared for and seldom driven truck. That being said, I think anyone would be disappointed with this Harvester.
Along with the aforementioned records & registration cars dating back to 1979, I have the original line setting ticket, sales order & agreement, owners manuals, odometer statement, bill of sales from previous owners. The original owner owned this Scout II until 2007.
