(Featured on 3rd July 2013)
Sellers original description:
The 1979-1985 Eldorados are some of the most attractive Cadillacs created during this time period.
1979 Models had a 350 Olds engine, a good and reliable engine
1980 featured the 6 Liter 368 Fuel Injected traditional cast iron Cadillac Engine
In 1981, Cadillac experimented with the troublesome V-8-6-4 Variable Displacement Engine
Beginning in 1982 through 1985 Cadillac developed the HT4100 aluminum block engine with cast iron heads. There were terrible problems with these. Head gasket failures, bad cams, and main bearing noises were common and really makes 82-85 Eldorados undesirable to many. Sudden catastrophic failure was common and Cadillac dealers had to replace thousands of HT4100 engines under warranty. Here is an opportunity to own the beautiful mid-80's Eldorado Styling Sensation without the risk of having problems with an HT4100 engine. The 4100's only has 252 cubic inches as well, this is a 368 cubic inch (6 Liter) engine.
The 6 Liter equipped 1980 is THE BEST YEAR to own, especially a fantastic low mileage car like this one.
