Model: Bel Air
Sellers original description:
1955 Chevy Belair. This car had a full frame off rotisserie restoration and the car is excellent in every way. I have a photo album that documents the entire restoration process with before…during…after pictures. This car has 2,103 (good weather only) miles since restoration and the car has been pampered in a climate-controlled shop.
The paint color is Torch Red PPG Code 02 and this car is an absolute knockout. The paint is slick and the body is straight, as you will see in the many pictures. The chrome, trim, and the California 1-piece bumpers with bumper guards all look brand new. And I mean all of the chrome including the window trim; rocker trim, door handles, and wiper arms are all excellent. The glass is all new as well as the window felt and rubber. The wheels are from Billet Specialties and the tires are BF Goodrich Radial TA’s (P215/70R15 front and P235/70R15 rear). The car was painted by Mike Williams…Cedartown, GA.
The interior is all custom by Wilson Brothers…Rockmart, GA. The door panels are custom two-tone leather with all new chrome. The seats are new two tone with new carpet, headliner and a custom worked dash with new white face gauge cluster, GM tilt steering, new chrome knobs, Bowtie dash plate, Kenwood Stereo system, new clock with dual speakers behind, two sets of floor mats, and Vintage heat and air.
The engine is a new performance GM crate ZZ4 (aluminum heads) 350/355+hp motor. Under the hood is highly detailed and neat with performance Taylor wires neatly ran and with Chevy Bowtie aluminum intake, Holley Street Avenger carburetor, polished/finned valve covers, polished headers, and huge polished aluminum radiator (runs 175 degrees max). You will also find power steering, power disc brakes, and a new 605 steering box under the hood. The transmission is a 700 R4 Automatic Overdrive.
The undercarriage is all new with new fuel tank, front and rear sway bars, rear air shocks, all new body bushings, tie rod ends, drive shaft, u-joints, and all lines, fittings, nuts and bolts are new as well. The front end is original 1955 with coil springs front and leaf springs rear. The rear end is original 1955 rebuilt also.
This Belair rides, drives, handles, performs, and sounds excellent. The car is a great car in every way cosmetically and mechanically it is tops. It needs nothing that I know of whatsoever and it is ready to go. It drives straight and true down the road it is a true pleasure to drive.
