Almost from the day production ceased, it's been in demand not only as the last of the "classic Chevy", but the best.
The 1957 Chevy was called by some a "baby Cadillac" because of many similar styling cues to Cadillac's of the time.
In addition to a major facelift, the 1957 Chevy included more performance which was very popular on and off the track.
Much of it's popularity stemmed from the undeniable performance of the newly enlarged 283 cubic inch V8 along with the historical significance 0f the top 283 horsepower version with "ramjet" fuel injection.
