You Are Viewing An Absolutely Beautiful 1968 Camaro SS396.
This Show Quality Camaro Is Very, Very Straight With Super Nice Paint And No Rust Or Bubbles (really!! I Know A Lot Of Guys B.S. About That One, That Is Not The Case Here).
The Chrome, trim, bumpers, bezels,etc..are All Beautiful. The Underbody And Chasis Are Very Nice Too. The Steering Is Tight (and Freshly Aligned) And The Suspension All Perform Beautifully (smooth, solid And Tight, not A Rattlebox At All, like A Lot Of Older Cars). Almost All Of This Car Is Either All New Or Rebuilt. There Is A Ton Of Money In This Car (over 45k). I Know This Car Could Not Possibly Be Duplicated For What I Am Selling It For (even If You Could Do All The Work Yourself).
The Interior Is Really Very Nice Too (no Cracks, tears, etc..everything Is Either Super Nice Original Or All New There Too. A Brand New Cd Stereo And A Very Nice Set Of Rear Speakers Has Also Just Been Installed. It Has Power Steering And Power Disc Brakes As Well! While It Is An Original SS396, it Is Not The Original Engine But Actually Better ! It Has The Famous #512 Chevy Big Block And Is Date Coded Later 1969 Which Makes It A Late 427 Or Early 454. It Is The Same Block That A Lot Of The Copo And Yenko Clone Guys Try To Find For Their Cars. The Engine Is All Rebuilt And Greatly Improved To Produce Much More Horsepower Than Stock. The Heads Are Very Worked, has Roller-rockers And Tons More!..the Transmission Is The Fantastic Turbo 400 (yes, for Sure) With 2400 Stall Speed And A Perfect Shift Kit With A B&m Ratchet Shifter. If You Are Taking Off In Drive It Shifts Very, very Smoothly For Great Cruisability, but If You Give It A Fair Amount Of Gas The Shifts Are Immediate And Smooth (probably Faster Than Most People Can Shift A 4-speed). If You Were Going To Race Then You Would Shift It Manually With The Ratchet Shifter, Starting With First Gear And The Shifts Are Super Fast (but First Tell Your Passenger To Hold On) Because This Camaro Is Seriously Fast (seriously! Not For A Novice). This Car Has Even Made A Big Believer Out A 4-speed Guy Like Myself, it Is Just Pure Fun !! (and I Know I Could Not Shift A 4-speed Car Fast Enough To Beat This Camaro).
The Distance It Can Cover In Just Seconds Is Incredible! Even With The Big Horsepower This Car Is Very Streetable, I Have Driven It A Lot On The Street With No Problems At All. It Runs Find On Pump Premium. The Rear End Is Its Original 12 Bolt 4:10 Posi With Its Correct Original Date Code. It Has Its Original Big-block Fuel Lines, Big-block Brake Lines With The Original Spring-type Holders, big-block Heater Core And 160 Mph Speedometer. I Also Installed An Extra Electric Fan On Front Of The 4 Core Radiator. It Has New Ceramic Hooker Headers And New Complete 3" Exhaust All The Way Back To The Larger Tailpipes In The Correct Spot For A 68 Camaro Ss (behind The Rear Tires)..when You Hear This Car You Know Unquestionably That It Is Serious. It Stops Everyone In Their Tracks When They Hear It Coming.it Also Has 4 New Radial T/a Tires (pretty Big In The Back). The Stance Is Perfect.
It Also Has A New Optima Battery, new Brakes And The List Goes On And On..the Battery Is Located In The Rear (old School-for Traction And Cleaner Looking Engine Compartment). It Has The Rear Battery Cut-off Switch, which Is Nice For Storing The Car, anti-theft, leaving Doors Open, etc...
